Alex Palmer's Natural History Notes and Thoughts

Thoughts and reflections on various social and environmental issues, as well as naturalist observations from the great outdoors.

cold and rainy with birds…

It is cold and rainy today in Chillicothe, Ohio. This means all of the birds are going to stay low in the trees as they hunker down t stay warm and dry like much of the other animals. I stood out in the rain for about 30 seconds and saw the bright orange belly of a Baltimore Oriole and the deep iridescent blue of an indigo bunting. It is nice to see splashes of colors like those on such a gloomy day.
